The Solar Mission is a global outreach initiative launched in 2012 by the Sunset International Bible Institute (SIBI) to deliver handheld, solar-powered audio devices to remote, visually impaired, or illiterate populations. These durable “Solar Players” are loaded with the entire Bible, gospel hymns, and over 320 hours of in-depth ministry courses, acting as a force multiplier for local preachers in regions with limited access to electricity. Distributed in multiple phases across over 50 nations—including extensive networks in Africa, Latin America, the Philippines, and the Caribbean—the program relies on dedicated teams who hand-carry the units to target communities and provide direct training to local leaders.
