What to Expect
We’re Glad You’re Considering A Visit!
You’ll find a warm, welcoming congregation that loves God, loves people, and seeks to follow God’s revealed will in the New Testament in our worship and daily lives. Our desire is simply to honor God and worship Him “in spirit and truth” (John 4:24). We hope you will visit and allow us to get to know you.
Friendly people ready to greet you at the door.
From the moment you walk through the doors, we want you to feel at home. You’ll find friendly faces ready to greet you, help you find your way, and make you feel genuinely welcome.

Bible-centered and relevant preaching and teaching.
Our lessons are rooted in Scripture and designed to help us know God, grow in faith, and live faithfully. We also seek to apply God’s Word to the realities of everyday life, helping one another glorify God, remain faithful, and live as Christians in the world around us. (Acts 2:42; 20:7)
Prayer
Prayer is one of the great blessings we have as Christians—the privilege of going directly to God. It is an important part of our worship as we praise Him, thank Him for His goodness, and bring our needs and concerns before Him. (Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 14:15; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
A cappella congregational singing.
Singing is a passion of ours and a command God has given for His praise and for our mutual encouragement. You’ll notice that we sing without mechanical instruments, following the simple pattern of worship found in the New Testament. In fact, the term a cappella has historically meant “in the style of the church.” Many of our guests tell us they find the sound of the whole congregation singing together especially joyful and beautiful. (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16)
The Lord’s Supper every Sunday.
Each week we remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus through the sharing of the bread and the cup, just as Christians did each first day of the week in the New Testament. (Matthew 26:26–28; 1 Corinthians 11:24–25; Acts 20:7)
Giving.
Our members have an opportunity to give cheerfully to support the work of the church, as each has decided ahead of time and not out of compulsion, but our guests are never expected to contribute. (1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 9:7)
What should I wear?
There is no formal dress code at Northside. You’ll see a mix of slacks and dress shirts, nice jeans and polos, dresses, and dress pants. Come in clothing that is comfortable and appropriate for worship as we gather together to honor God.
Bringing Children?
Children are always welcome at Northside! Families keep their children with them during worship, and a cry room and nursing room are available if you need them.
We also offer Bible classes for all ages before worship on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday evenings.
